Several of the Ahwahnee or Yosemite Lodge interiors were used as templates for the sets of the fictional Overlook Hotel in the horror film The Shining (1980). Interiors of the Yosemite Lodge were adapted for Stanley Kubrick's horror film The Shining (1980).
